For more than twenty years Video Ventures has devoted itself to crafting unique, one-of-a-kind wedding storybooks for couples all over New England, New York and New Jersey. Our  Approach

Much as a photograph can capture that one special moment, video is ideal for capturing all those special moments on your wedding day. To create the video of your special day, Video Ventures approaches the wedding celebration as if we were writing a story. Like any story, your wedding day has a beginning, a middle and an end. Unlike any other story, input and ideas from you help make the story of your wedding day uniquely different from any other. We treat all elements of the video coverage as if they are chapters that will seamlessly blend together to make a whole storybook… your storybook.

What  We  Do

Because this day is so important to you, we go that extra step to ensure your wedding day is captured properly. Our six-point, pre-ceremony coverage program was specifically developed to help overcome potential problems so that the end product video is of the highest possible quality.

• One: First is the initial meeting with the bride and groom to plan the overall video. We also get insights at that time that will help make their video truly unique.
  
  
• Two: We meet with the officiate conducting the ceremony to review the rules regarding shooting video. We feel that the wedding ceremony is, above all else, a sacred event and should be covered in an unobtrusive a manner as possible.
  
  
• Three: At least two weeks prior to the wedding day, we meet with the couple again to finalize plans, confirm all the details and obtain any photos and music they would like used in the making of their video.
  
  
• Four: We make it a point to visit the locations for both the ceremony and the reception prior to the wedding day. In this way, we can plan camera placement, judge lighting conditions and get a sense of the flow of activities.
  
  
• Five: About one week before the wedding we contact the still photographer to coordinate our efforts and to assure a cooperative working relationship.
  
  
• Six: We attend the rehearsal to finalize camera and microphone placement. The rehearsal also allows us to solve any last minute problems that could mar the final video.

Storybook  Packages

Recognizing that the wants and desires of every couple are different, Video Ventures has developed three basic packages to meet the needs of virtually any wedding day story.

• Novella: This package is for those who wish to have only the ceremony itself or the reception covered. The ceremony only version includes two-camera/one- operator coverage, full digital editing and delivery of one DVD or Blu-ray disk. The reception only version of the Novella includes one-camera/one-operator coverage, full digital editing and delivery of one DVD or Blu-ray disk.
  
  
• Ballad: By far our most popular package, the Ballad includes growing up photos…along with music you’ve selected… in the opening, two- or three- camera/one-operator coverage of the ceremony, one-camera/one-operator coverage of the reception, a special wedding day recap… again with music of your choice… at the end, full digital editing and delivery of two DVD or Blu-ray disks.
  
  
• Saga: This package provides for additional coverage and the ability to create a video worthy of a master storyteller. With the addition of a second camera person, the Saga includes everything in the Ballad package plus shots that normally could not be captured with just one operator, such as scenes of wedding party preparations… generally at the bride’s home… prior to the ceremony. The Saga package provides three-camera/two-operator coverage of the ceremony and two-camera/two-operator coverage of the reception.
